Klustar is a puzzle game where you manipulate a central mass of connected blocks as new shapes attach to it from the screen edges. Your task is to rotate the entire cluster left or right to align pieces into solid 3x3 squares. These vanish when completed, slowing growth. Shapes that don’t connect pile up at the screen borders. The game ends when your klustar expands to the edges or incoming pieces can’t fit. Timing and spatial awareness are key as the pace quickens. Released in 1999 for Game Boy Color, Klustar stands out for its clever twist on classic block-puzzle mechanics. The tension of balancing rotation and placement under pressure gives it lasting appeal. Though its audience was niche, the design’s simplicity and escalating difficulty made it a memorable entry in the handheld puzzle genre.
