KnightOut is a chaotic blend of strategy and action where players construct castles and then attack them with weapons. Once the fight begins, you switch to swords, ballistas, and explosive projectiles to dismantle opponents. The goal is simple: destroy their structure and eliminate their leader while surviving their attacks. Controls are straightforward, focusing on quick decisions and timing. The game shines in its fast-paced matches that mix planning and mayhem. Co-op and versus modes keep the energy high, with each round offering unpredictable turns. Though released in 2018, it maintains a cult following for its raw, accessible gameplay. The Switch port adds portability to the frantic clashes, making it easy to play solo or with others.
