Kung Fu Kid is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up where you play Wang, a kung fu master fighting through waves of foes. The game blends platforming with hand to hand combat. You punch, kick, and use wall jumps to stay ahead of enemies. The single player mode tests your reflexes, but the two player option lets you team up with a friend. It first came out in 1987 for the Sega Master System. The game saw a 1995 re-release in Brazil as Sapo Xulé O Mestre do Kung Fu with new visuals. That version’s still playable online for free alongside the original. While simple by today’s standards, it holds up for quick chaotic brawls. The Internet Archive has both versions so you can jump in without a system.
