Kurulin Fusion is a puzzle game built around matching and merging blocks to clear the board. Players combine colored tiles with energy orbs to rack up points fusing smaller groups into larger ones. The biggest reward comes from stacking a 3X3 section in one move which triggers a chain reaction. A single player mode focuses on high score chasing while a local multiplayer option lets friends compete head to head. The game leans heavily on its polished audiovisual style. Nobuo Uematsu's synth-heavy remixes of Bach's classical pieces create an unexpected but effective rhythm that syncs with the tile mechanics. Though largely forgotten today its tight scoring system and replay value earned it a 78 on Metacritic at launch. The fusion of retro puzzle gameplay with modern production values still feels distinctive for PSP's library.
