Lander is a 1999 PC shooter where you pilot a compact thruster-driven craft through planetary environments. Maneuver the ship using corner thrusters and a central engine while navigating traps, gravity shifts, and wind currents. Missions start simple, retrieving objects or destroying targets, but escalate to stealthy heists and puzzle-like military ops. Earn cash to upgrade armor, weapons, and engines across five tiers or replace your ship entirely. The single-player mode spans 30 missions across 15 planets and moons, with escalating stakes as rival factions interfere. The flight mechanics and upgrade system stand out, demanding precision to avoid environmental hazards and enemy fire. Multiplayer includes deathmatch modes over IPX or internet connections. The DVD edition offered high-resolution video and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, a first for Psygnosis. Storyline

The year is 3032. You own a hovercraft type spacecraft and earn your living by piloting it around the solar system, hired by large corporations and other entities to perform various tasks for a price. The more difficult, risky or illegal the mission, the higher the pay off.
