Laundry Night casts you as someone stuck doing their weekly wash at a quiet laundromat after hours. What starts as a routine chore quickly turns eerie as machines whirr too loud, shadows stretch wrong, and distant noises grow louder. You juggle mundane tasks like checking cycles and folding clothes while keeping an eye on the weirdness escalating around you. The simulation elements feel oddly grounded, making the horror pop harder when the weirdness arrives. Dead Possum Games leans into the discomfort of everyday spaces turning unsettling. The contrast between normalcy and dread works well, with jump scares that land reliably. While short, most playthroughs clock in under two hours, it nails the vibe of being trapped in a place that should be safe but isn’t. Their prior game The Adventure Park had similar charm, blending simplicity with spooky moments. Laundry Night doesn’t reinvent horror but makes great use of its specific setting.
