This one's a typing tutor dressed as a battle simulator. You type words that pop up on screen to take down cartoon Pokémon. Each letter you hammer out builds attack power. The faster and more accurate you are the more damage you deal. The Nintendo DS version includes a wireless keyboard in the box which makes the whole thing feel like a portable classroom. It's simple but the rhythm of typing and battling is tight. Early reviews praised the way it makes practicing keyboard skills feel like a side quest rather than homework. Not much fanfare but if you or someone you know needs to type better and happens to like Pokémon this does the job.
