About

Les Manley in: Lost in L.A. is a point-and-click adventure where you guide the titular sleuth through 1990s Los Angeles to track down his kidnapped pal Helmut. Using a mouse-driven interface, you’ll navigate bustling streets, seedy back alleys, and celebrity hangouts, chatting up eccentric characters and solving puzzles to piece together the mystery. The game blends humor and chaos as Les uncovers a plot involving missing stars, shady rockers, and a cast of unforgettable weirdos. Released in 1991, it holds a nostalgic spot among early PC adventures. Its over-the-top Hollywood satire and quirky dialogue stand out, though the DOS-era graphics and occasionally clunky inventory management might feel dated. Still, the game’s absurd scenarios and retro charm have kept it a cult favorite. Now playable on modern systems via Linux and Windows, it’s a time capsule for fans of old-school point-and-clicks.

Storyline

It's the crime of the century, and only one Manley can solve it. In the second game of Accolade’s Les Manley series of adventures, a stalker has been kidnapping celebrities, including Les’s friend Helmut Bean and his extravagant girlfriend LaFonda Turner. Les Manley must scour La La Land – sifting through out-of-work actors, rock stars and gorgeous babes – to unravel the mystery. From Hollywood Boulevard to Mulholland Mansions, take a walk on the wild side.
