You play as a spider-queen on Mars chasing runaway slaves through abstract, chaotic levels. The goal is to recapture them using a staff that shoots lasers shaped like bondage gear. Controls are minimal, just arrow keys, but precision matters in this relentless arcade game. Each level throws increasingly absurd obstacles at you as you bounce between geometric platforms, balancing speed and timing. The aesthetic leans into intentionally campy sci-fi, with pixel art that pops despite its niche themes. The game came out in 2011 and remains a cult standout in Anna Anthropy’s portfolio. Its collaborators include Mariel Kinuko Cartwright, known for her work on Skullgirls, and musician AMON26, whose track "gyossait" is a weirdly memorable highlight. While short and punishing, it carves a specific niche, a frantic, one-handed challenge that’s as much about its bold concept as its execution. Adult Swim’s imprint here feels fitting, given their history with quirky, boundary-pushing titles.
