You play as Goro Majima a former yakuza turned amnesiac pirate captain navigating Hawaii’s beaches and backstreets. Battle rival crews with a mix of melee brawling and ship-to-ship combat while piecing together fragmented memories through dialogue and exploration. The open world lets you upgrade your crew manage resources and chase leads on a mythical treasure buried beneath layers of tropical chaos. The game leans into wild humor and over-the-top set pieces typical of the series with combat that blends fast button-mashing and timed attacks. Early builds show strong fan reception for its chaotic energy and character writing though some note repetitive side tasks.
