Lionheart Dark Moon blends dungeon crawling and turn-based combat with a focus on hero collection and customization. You build teams from over 170 characters each with distinct skills and backstories. Upgrade units using gear pets and talent trees while leading them through procedurally generated dungeons and player versus player matches. The narrative follows Timothy and Natalia inheriting their grandfather’s legacy as they gather keys to unlock imprisoned champions and halt a spreading darkness threatening multiple realms. The game stands out for its depth of character progression and varied environments ranging from enchanted forests to desert wastelands. Boss fights against memorable antagonists like Koscha the Deathless add stakes to the campaign. With both solo and competitive modes it offers around 40 hours of core gameplay plus ongoing events. A steady stream of post-launch content has kept the player base active since 2017 though newer strategy titles have somewhat overshadowed its slower-paced mechanics.

Storyline

The Vaultkeeper has fallen and the Darkness is returning. Return to worlds encountered in Lionheart Tactics and explore new ones, from the mystic forests of the Tumbledowns to the blistering sands of Ibrim. Take on fearsome bosses, like Koscha the Deathless and the terrible Frog King, as you fight not only to survive but to save the very fabric of the world!
