Little Witch is a platformer adventure where you play as a student witch trying to earn her full title. You explore woods and caves, talk to magical creatures, and solve their problems using a mix of spells and combat. The game leans heavily on RPG elements with tons of text in a story book screen. Progression feels like older Wonder Boy titles but with more grinding. You must level up to survive enemies that kill you quickly if you are not careful. Saving works at any time, though you can accidentally lock yourself in unwinnable situations. The community rates this as casual based on one vote. The concept is fun and the art has a nice amateur charm, but the execution struggles with choppy scrolling and heavy flickering. These technical issues make enemies harder than they should be and sometimes break the game completely. It uses pictures as doors to travel between areas years before Super Mario 64 did the same thing. Despite the potential, the poor programming keeps it from shining fully. You can enjoy the ideas here if you do not mind dealing with frequent frame rate drops while playing.
