Livly Island is a mobile simulator where you raise tiny creatures called livlies, customizing their look and your island while interacting with others. As a homunculus owner, you manage your pet’s needs, decorate their environment, and join community spaces to trade tips or showcase creations. The game blends casual care mechanics with social elements, letting you shape a vibrant virtual world at your own pace. The quirky premise of alchemy-born creatures and their modern revival adds charm to routine tasks. While the free-to-play model leans on microtransactions, its mix of creativity and cooperation keeps players engaged. Launched in 2021 as a mobile revival of a 2003 browser game, it retains a dedicated following for its cozy, low-pressure vibe.
The Middle Ages: In the Middle Ages, mysterious tiny creatures were secretly created through the power of alchemy. Highly sought after for their jewel-like poop, greed caused them to nearly go extinct... Modern Era: Thankfully, these creatures were resurrected in modern times by Dr. Laurent Cole Muller, a self-taught biologist based in Japan, who dubbed them “livlies.” To promote research efforts, livlies were distributed to the public as pets, and with their owners' cooperation, livly research was rekindled under Dr. Muller's grandnephew, self-taught chemist Akira Muller.
