Loaded is a chaotic top-down shooter where you play as one of six twisted criminals plotting their way off a desolate prison world. Each character sports a bizarre look from a giggling psycho to a giant infant as they blast through waves of enemies across mission-based levels. The goal shifts from breaking out of jail to hunting down the corrupt official who framed them all while leaving destruction in your wake. Up to two players can team up for local couch co-op or battle head to head in arena-style fights. The game’s over-the-top brutality and quirky cast stand out most in an era of early 90s action titles. With its cartoonish gore and frenetic combat it carved a niche among fans of bloody arcade shooters. Released in late 1995 it arrived during the format wars between PlayStation and Saturn and remains a cult curiosity for those digging retro co-op carnage. The PlayStation version runs smoother but both ports deliver the same relentless mayhem.

Storyline

The six playable characters are all psychotic criminals who have been setup by F.U.B., a former catering officer with the Sector Marines. They are now serving sentence on an inhospitable prison planet, the planet Raulf. The player have to escape Raulf, chase F.U.B. and engage on a bloody odyssey across the strange worlds of the galaxy to exact revenge on F.U.B.
