Lords of Doom casts you as a quartet of heroes navigating a crumbling desert town overrun by the undead. Explore a pseudo-3D environment from a first-person perspective, solving environmental puzzles and interacting with objects to push the story forward. Each character requires constant attention, track hit points, hunger, and thirst meters to keep them alive. Combat unfolds in real time, demanding quick reflexes against waves of monsters. The party includes two civilians and two seasoned hunters, creating an uneasy dynamic as they work together to purge Vertic of its supernatural infestation. The game’s survival mechanics stand out, forcing you to scavenge resources and manage needs alongside combat. Its 1990s charm shines through pixelated visuals and a blend of adventure and RPG systems. While the pseudo-3D town limits exploration depth, the real-time action and puzzle-solving create a distinct rhythm. A niche title for fans of retro genre hybrids, it balances monster-slaying with the tedious grind of keeping your crew fed.
In the desert town Vertic, werewolves, vampires, mummies and zombies appear suddenly, feasting on the population until only a ghost town of undead is left. Two ordinary citizens team up with two professional monster hunters to cleanse the town of evil. Sharon, Charlie, Susan Leicester and Abraham Van Halen must fight their way through monsters and eventually defeat the overlord of each species, ending the invasion.
