Lost Empire: Immortals is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you command one of six distinct species across a vast interstellar map with up to 5000 star systems. Each match involves managing resources, advancing through a deep research tree, and choosing from multiple victory paths like conquest, diplomacy, or exploration. Battles play out in automated 3D sequences, letting you focus on grand strategy over micromanagement. The game emphasizes long-term planning with evolving technologies and faction-specific traits shaping your approach. The story follows the Eonians, an ancient civilization that vanished after sharing space travel secrets with rival species. Players navigate conflicts over their lost knowledge while balancing expansion and innovation. Released in 2008, it retains a dedicated following for its complex systems and flexible playstyles. With no multiplayer component, the experience leans into deep single-player campaigns, appealing to fans of methodical, galaxy-spanning strategy.
The story begins with the Eonians, a long lost civilization which has given the knowledge of navigating the stars to the other races (the Horde, the Alkiths, the Megalanians, the CrystalSpirits, the Tritons and the Humans). When the Eonians disappeared, so did their technology, but it was soon rediscovered, exploring and expanding becoming possible once again.
