About

Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge is a go-kart style racing game with 32 made up tracks split into three difficulty tiers. You compete against up to 19 AI drivers with goofy names inspired by real F1 personalities like Ricardo Pastry and Crashhard Banger. Finishing higher in a race moves you up the starting grid for the next one but you must hit the pitstop for fuel or risk running out before the finish. The tracks feature hazards like oil slicks and roadblocks that slow you but don’t break your car. The split screen multiplayer lets two players race at the same time while single player fills half the screen with the other half showing basic animations. It runs on 1990s systems like the Sega Mega Drive and Amiga with optional music tracks and sound effects. The humor in driver names and the variety of track layouts stand out. Community reviews note the simple but effective handling and the challenge of balancing speed with fuel management.
