Lucid Path is a dungeon crawling RPG where you hack through monsters and level up your gear. You play as a down on their luck hero who stumbles into a village needing help with a dungeon. Battles are turn based with loot dropping from defeated foes. Between fights you can tackle side jobs using mini games like digging for treasure or solving puzzles. Your character can be kitted out with different weapons armor and spells. The game’s charm comes from its little quirks. The side jobs add variety and the mini games feel distinct enough to keep things from getting repetitive. There’s a talking cactus that offers advice and humor which is a nice touch. While the dungeon crawling itself is pretty straightforward the quirky story and gear collection might keep players invested. It’s been around since 2018 so the base game is pretty polished. Not impressive but it’s a solid pick for a low pressure RPG session.
