About

Macho Mouse is a 1982 arcade game where you guide a mouse through mazes by steering a joystick, leaving a dotted path that becomes a solid wall. Your goal is to collect all the dots while dodging cats that kill you on contact. You can press a button to leap over obstacles and briefly stun cats mid-chase. Each round ends with a slot machine mini-game, adding a chance to earn extra lives or bonuses. The maze-based action feels familiar but leans into its own frantic rhythm, mixing pursuit and puzzle elements. The game’s blend of active gameplay and luck-based rewards stands out, especially the rare inclusion of a gambling-style break between rounds. Running on hardware shared with early '80s titles like Round-Up, its visuals and sound hold a rough charm. With both solo and two-player modes, it offers competitive replay value for a short window. Though largely forgotten, it carved a niche for quirky, hybrid arcade experiences.
