Mad Princess: The Great Gladiators casts you as a prisoner forced into deadly coliseum battles to earn freedom. You start with basic tools and grow through combat, managing resources and choosing how to improve your skills. Each fight blends real-time action with tactical decisions, balancing survival against long-term progress. The story unfolds through these escalating challenges as you navigate a world where tournaments dictate power. Set in an empire where public spectacles control society, the game stands out for its brutal yet methodical approach to gladiator life. Beast battles and human combatants create varied encounters, though the 2017 release date means it’s been refined by years of player feedback. Developed by Atorasoft and published by DLSite, it runs on PC with a focus on single-player depth. While not widely reviewed, its niche blend of grind and strategy appeals to fans of old-school RPGs with a grindhouse twist.
An Empire at the peak of prosperity. In cities with large populations, governance is carried out by means of Coliseum tournaments. This game is set in the Imperial city of Caertina, where they hold extreme bestiarii events. Beasts are caught in great numbers from the nearby wilderness, trained, and pitted against gladiators. You are a criminal detained in the Imperial city prison and forced to fight as a gladiator. In order to be released from that hell, you must survive the grueling battles you are put through one after another.
