Maestro! Jump in Music tasks you with guiding Presto, a sprightly avian musician, through levels filled with floating notes and rhythmic challenges. Using the DS stylus you swipe rub and spin to trigger his movements matching the tempo of each stage’s soundtrack. Each action corresponds to a platform Presto leaps from or glides toward his wings carrying him in the order you manipulate the screen. The goal is to sync his flight path with the music’s timing reaching scattered score fragments while avoiding obstacles. The game’s most memorable aspect is its tactile control scheme which turns the DS into a makeshift instrument. While not a mainstream hit its charming art style and creative use of the stylus for musical gameplay earned a cult following.
