Magic Cat Academy 2 follows Momo the cat as she battles ghosts haunting the ocean floor. Playing out across five increasingly deep underwater levels, you swipe and swim to fight possessed sea creatures like immortal jellyfish and vampire squids. Each stage introduces new tactics such as a one-time shield move and a spiral attack that pushes back enemies. The action stays simple but requires timing to survive waves of ghouls and reach the final showdown at an active underwater volcano. The game’s charm comes from its silly premise and responsive controls that make each clash feel satisfying. While short and straightforward, the added mechanics keep repetition at bay. Released in 2020 as a browser-based sequel to the original Magic Cat Academy, it maintains the same playful energy with a splash of Halloween spookiness. The underwater setting adds visual variety, though the core loop remains focused on quick reflexes and pattern recognition.

Storyline

The objective and the development of the game are exactly the same, only that the action takes place under the sea, since a ghost managed to escape from Momo after winning the first part, reaching the ocean and possessing various marine animals. Momo fights enemies in five stages, each at a deeper level, against ghosts and possessed animals such as an immortal jellyfish, a bank of bogues, a vampire squid and an anglerfish, until reaching the final boss, which is an underwater volcano. This game includes two new movements: a circle, by which the player gets a shield, and a spiral, by which the player pushes back all monsters. The shield lasts for only one attack.
