Magic of Endoria drops you into a large underground network where you build and defend mines to claim god-powered crystal splinters. As one of two rival mages, you hire workers, researchers, and fighters to dig tunnels, set traps, and sabotage opponents. Employees level up with experience but demand steady pay, balancing resource management with tactical combat. The DOS version plays in real time, letting you issue orders on a hex-grid map while fending off enemy raids and mutated creatures. Released in 1994 by German Design Group, the PC version streamlined the Commodore 64’s turn-based mechanics for faster action. A 1995 CD-ROM edition added voice acting and expanded audio, while a simplified "light" mode catered to casual players. With its mix of base-building and strategic warfare, the game carved a niche in 90s strategy circles. The original DOS release remains a cult favorite for its depth and hex-based tactics.
