Mainframe Defenders is a tactical RPG set inside a virus-riddled AI research complex. As one of four intact prototype units, you navigate grid-based rooms battling infected robots, clearing corrupted nodes, and sabotaging enemy fabricators. Each mission forces tough choices between resource-limited weapons and status effects like overheating or corrosion. Your squad’s loadouts evolve through item combos that balance strengths and weaknesses, a laser might pierce armor but drain power, while a corrosive shot weakens targets at the cost of accuracy. The turn-based combat emphasizes adaptability, as enemy squads shift tactics to counter your playstyle. The game’s retro charm blends 80s terminal aesthetics with synthwave tracks, creating a moody digital wasteland vibe. Procedural levels mix hand-crafted rooms with randomized layouts, keeping replayability high. Players chasing 14 achievements face a steep climb, the rarest, "Economy," sits at 1.10% unlock rate. Storyline

Microlink Dynamics is leader in AI research area, who built first research complex fully ran by AI. But during one of the OS updates, most of networked units started to behave erratically, attacking everyone on sight. You control 4 prototype units left intact and help the AI to protect the complex.
