Manos: The Hands of Fate is a side-scrolling platformer that turns a famously bad movie into chaotic fun. You play as one of the film's doomed characters, dodging obstacles, leaping between platforms, and surviving absurd scenarios. The controls are straightforward but demand timing as you navigate increasingly ridiculous levels filled with giant hands, cultists, and other movie-accurate horrors. Single player only, with a focus on quick retries and incremental progress. The game leans hard into the source material's so-bad-it's-good energy, complete with intentionally cheesy visuals and dialogue. Despite a 2012 release, its retro pixel art and relentless difficulty curve feel familiar to classic platformers. Developer FreakZone Games clearly had fun mocking the original film's excesses, and that enthusiasm carries the experience. Available on PC and iOS, it’s a brief but memorable trip into a weird corner of pop culture.
