Marathon is a first person shooter set on a massive interstellar colony ship under siege. As a security officer you fight through corridors and chambers of the UESC Marathon while fending off waves of hostile aliens. The game mixes methodical exploration with bursts of combat using an arsenal of energy weapons and tactical grenades. Single player missions focus on survival while multiplayer modes let you team up or battle opponents in competitive firefights. Developed by Bungie in 1994 this title helped define the sci fi shooter genre. Its detailed ship environments and evolving alien tactics keep gameplay fresh across multiple runs. A dedicated community still maintains mods and custom maps decades after launch. Storyline

Alien forces have boarded the colony ship UESC Marathon in the Tau Ceti system, in orbit around humanity’s first interstellar colony. The situation is dire, and as a security officer assigned to the Marathon, your duty is to defend the ship and its crew from the alien threat.
