About

Marble Madness is a fast-paced puzzle arcade game where you guide a marble through six wacky, maze-like courses. From a top-down perspective, you steer the marble using directional controls to avoid obstacles and enemies while racing against the clock. Each level adds new hazards and layouts, and leftover time from one stage carries over to the next. Two-player mode lets friends compete head-to-head in a frantic, rolling showdown. The courses range from simple practice tracks to the chaotic "Silly" level, which flips the screen and throws in polka-dots for good measure. Early 1980s charm oozes from the quirky design, with each stage feeling like a mini-chaos experiment. Originally an arcade hit from Atari in 1984, it’s a cult classic that still delivers satisfying, frantic gameplay. The trackball-controlled original remains a staple of retro arcades, but home versions adapted well to joysticks.
