Mario Bros. is a Game & Watch title where Mario and Luigi work at a bottling factory. Players tap the screen to stack bottles onto pallets while avoiding obstacles like giant insects and moving machinery. The goal is to load as many packages as possible before time runs out. Simple mechanics and frantic timing define the gameplay. The action unfolds on the handheld’s small screen with minimal visuals but plenty of urgency. This 1983 release predates the more famous arcade game of the same name and introduced Luigi to the series. It’s a direct predecessor to the iconic plumbers’ adventures, though its factory setting and bottle-stacking premise are entirely unrelated to sewers or Koopa Troopas. With no sequel and a short runtime, it remains a curious footnote for Nintendo fans. Its historical value and charmingly weird premise make it a niche but notable entry in the franchise.
