About

Mario Clash is a fast paced platformer where you play as Mario flinging Turtle Shells to defeat enemies in 3D stereoscopic visuals. The goal is to clear each level by knocking foes off narrow platforms. Two Koopas always stay active one gets hit another replaces it. You need precise timing to toss shells from one side of the screen to the other aiming for enemies that can only be damaged from specific angles. The levels are tight with pipes linking small rooms filled with hazards and tricky jumps. Released in 1995 for the Virtual Boy this game leans into its hardware’s 3D effect to create depth for aiming and movement. While the system itself had a short lifespan Mario Clash remains a curious entry in the franchise. With no multiplayer and a focus on repetitive combat it’s a straightforward challenge that some retro fans revisit for its bold if limited use of early 3D gaming. Its cult following is small but vocal often citing the novelty of playing a Mario game in stereoscopic vision decades before it became common.

Storyline

The Clash House Tower has been invaded by bad guys. It's up to Mario to clear them out, throwing Koopa shells to knock them away. Take care as you battle in dangerous rooms of narrow ledges connected by pipes.
