About

Maze Craze pits two players against each other in a race through shifting mazes. Each cop starts on the left side and must reach the exit on the right before their opponent. Mazes can be fully visible partially hidden or entirely obscured with optional periodic hints from the computer. Players navigate these layouts while avoiding up to five rogue robbers that can stun them on contact. The game lets you tweak the pace from deliberate to frantic and includes tools like invisible blockades to trap opponents. What sets the game apart is its flexibility. The maze visibility options change the strategy needed for each match. Invisible sections force memorization while peeking at the full layout adds a tactical layer. Blockades let you create false walls that only your cop can pass through offering clever ways to bait opponents into dead ends. Though the 1980 release date means the graphics are basic the core mechanics hold up as a tense test of speed and wit.
