You start with limited funds to place weapons like chain guns and missiles, earning more cash by defeating troops and surviving each round. The goal is to strategically position defenses to handle increasing threats across multiple stages. Each level forces you to balance spending, positioning, and timing to prevent enemy advances. The game offers four distinct environments: beach, snow, platform, and lava. Later levels introduce unique mechanics like hidden underground paths in snow maps or moving platforms in lava stages. Some areas let you capture neutral structures for powerful abilities like area attacks. With 20 or more waves per level, the difficulty ramps steadily, testing your ability to adapt tactics. The varied scenarios and evolving challenges keep the experience fresh even as the core loop remains straightforward.
