Mercs Inc. was supposed to be the next big entry in a popular mercenary shooter series. Players took control of a squad handling high-stakes contracts across various global locations. The gameplay focused on tactical third-person shooting with online multiplayer support. Pandemic Studios developed most of the concept before EA shut them down in late 2009. Nothing came of this project despite claims that work continued elsewhere. No community ratings or user data exist because the game never released to the public. It remains a curious footnote in shooter history rather than a playable title. Fans of the earlier entries often wonder what the final product might have looked like if it had launched.
