Metal Saver is a 1994 2D platformer with strategy twists that lets you play as either a martial artist or a dual-wielding shooter. You navigate levels to eliminate enemies collect power-ups and avoid hazards. Boss fights pop up every few stages including a memorable giant spider. The game supports single-player or split-screen co-op letting two players tackle levels together. Controls are tight and the level design leans into creative use of projectiles and environmental traps. This Korean-developed title gained a footnote in gaming history when it accidentally made the jump from arcades to DOS. The PC version remains a rare artifact since developer First Amusement never released another PC game after this experiment. Modern players might notice the co-op mode holds up well while the pixel art and pacing feel distinctly 90s.
