About Meteor World Actor: Gaslight Bullet

Meteor World Actor: Gaslight Bullet is the third and final entry in the Meteor World Actor series by Heliodor, published by DiGination. Released on February 27, 2026, this adventure/visual novel blends mystery and political intrigue. Set in the Seventh Republic, a sun-deprived city-state rife with corruption and hidden crimes, the story follows Hiryuu Ruka, a reclusive detective navigating bureaucratic reassignment and a large cult investigation. With a focus on dialogue-driven narratives and branching choices, it caters to fans of cerebral mysteries and atmospheric storytelling. Available on PC and Android, it’s a single-player experience that leans heavily on its dense plot and character dynamics.

Gameplay

The game alternates between visual novel segments and light investigation mechanics. Players navigate case files, interview suspects, and collect clues through point-and-click interactions, while dialogue choices shape relationships and case outcomes. Ruka’s reassignment to the Traffic Division introduces bureaucratic challenges, requiring players to juggle mundane tasks like ticketing with covert detective work. The interface prioritizes text-heavy scenes with occasional minigames, such as forensic analysis or data decryption. Sessions often last 30, 60 minutes, with a meta-progression system tracking Ruka’s reputation across divisions. Controls are minimal, keyboard/mouse for PC, touch for Android, but the pacing favors deliberate decision-making over action.

What Players Think

PlayPile’s data shows no current community ratings or moods for this title, as it’s newly released. Early critics praise its intricate plot structure but note pacing issues in the first half. No playtime statistics or achievement completion rates are available yet. Player reviews on external sites highlight divisive opinions: some praise the layered worldbuilding, while others critique repetitive dialogue. The game lacks a public roadmap for post-launch content, and no price has been listed for the base version.

PlayPile's Take

A must-play for series completists, but casual players may find the dense narrative overwhelming. With no price disclosed and no achievements listed, it’s a gamble for newcomers. Stick with it if you enjoy slow-burn mysteries and political drama. Skip it if you prefer tight pacing or action-driven gameplay.
