In Minigore you take control of John Gore a character battling waves of enemy creatures called furries in the world of Hardland. The goal is to shoot as many furries as possible while surviving their attacks. Every few kills spawns a cloverleaf that you collect. Grab three and Gore transforms into a minotaur gaining temporary invincibility and the ability to stomp enemies. You have three lives and points come from furry takedowns. The game supports single player action and multiplayer modes for added competition. The minotaur power-up mechanic stands out as a fun twist on traditional shooter upgrades. Leaderboards through OpenFeint and Game Center track progress and high scores adding long term goals. Since its 2009 iOS release Minigore has maintained a cult following for its simple yet addictive mix of rapid fire combat and brief moments of unstoppable chaos. Its straightforward controls and short sessions make it easy to pick up but tough to put down.
