Mirror's Edge is a side-scrolling platformer that leans into fast parkour mechanics and urban exploration. You play as a Runner navigating a city controlled by corrupt corporations, avoiding patrols and completing objectives through momentum-based movement. The story follows Senator Elaine Callaghan as she manipulates events to undermine the Runner community, using private forces to spread chaos. The game supports single-player runs or split-screen co-op for local play. The game stands out for its mobile-friendly design, originally launching on iPod and later expanding to iPhones and Windows Phones. Split-screen mode remains a highlight for shared experiences, while the narrative ties into the larger Mirror's Edge universe without demanding prior knowledge. Reviews note its fluid traversal and tight level design, though dated visuals show its 2009 release. A quick, engaging pick for platformer fans on the go.
This game is a prequel to Mirror's Edge. Senator Elaine Callaghan starts to employ the Pirandello Kruger security firm to train a gang of rogue Runners to make a bad image of and smear the true Runners to gain more votes against mayoral candidate Senator Robert Pope who supports the morale of the Runners.
