Pilot the MJ-05 mech in this 1983 shooter from Hudson Soft. Enemies explode into more targets when hit forcing rapid fire. Track your fuel, let it run dry and you’ll lose a life. Refuel by landing on a moving pod at the screen’s bottom. It’s fast it’s frantic and it’s totally 80s. Simple controls mask tricky timing. The scrolling refuel zone adds a layer of planning, you can’t just blast everything. Sprites are blocky but the tension of balancing attack and survival still clicks. Released decades before “gimmick enemies” became a trope this one proved Hudson could make chaos feel fair.
