Momodora is a side scrolling platformer with racing elements that emphasizes tight controls and precise timing. Players guide a determined girl through hazardous environments filled with obstacles and enemies. The game focuses on quick reflexes and repeated attempts to master increasingly difficult sections. Single player only with no online features. The game’s stark aesthetic and myth driven narrative set it apart. Set in a world where dangerous rituals shape destiny the story follows an orphan seeking a legendary artifact in a cursed area. While the 2010 release shows its age some fans appreciate its no nonsense challenge reminiscent of classic arcade titles. Cover art by Temmie Chang adds a distinct visual flair to the package.

Storyline

"In the land of Koho, common are the sacrifices of maidens, in hope of recreating the world as a better place to live. Not all accept the rituals, though. An orphan girl, who has lost her mother to these rituals, entered a forbidden land, in search of a particular item. The legends say that this sacred item can even bring the dead back to life, but for a certain price..."
