Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is a 2D action-platformer where you play as Momo, a determined priestess racing against time to stop a demonic invasion. After a cursed bell unleashes horrors on her village, you’ll navigate treacherous ruins, solve environmental puzzles, and battle twisted enemies in fluid combat. The game blends precise platforming with exploration, as you uncover secrets tied to a sacred tree and the dark forces threatening its power. Each level mixes vertical and horizontal challenges, requiring timing and strategy to advance. The game’s hand-drawn visuals pop with color and detail, pairing eerie atmospheres with vibrant landscapes. Community feedback from early access highlights its challenging but fair difficulty, with some players calling it the series’ most refined entry. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch, it carries forward the Momodora legacy with a self-contained story that newcomers can follow. With 8-10 hours of gameplay, it’s a brisk but satisfying adventure for fans of Metroidvania-style exploration and tight boss fights.
