"Overall Monopoly Madness can be a fun game when playing with friends; however, playing the game solo can be an infuriating task based on how the AI plays. Rather than feeling fair and balanced, it seems like the AI has a vendetta against humans. Is Ubisoft secretly programming the upcoming terminators? Mr. Monooly’s voice lines will make you want to stop playing the game. The game would be better off without him or with more dialog lines. As a whole, the game is fun but not meant for all ages. Even those that love Monopoly will grow tired of this game after two hours. The game is fine to play for a short amount of time but it is a good idea to take breaks."

Monopoly is a PlayStation adaptation of the classic board game that drops you into a digital version of the original property-trading mechanics. You buy, sell, and trade real estate across a virtual board filled with familiar landmarks and mechanics. The gameplay loops around negotiations, chance cards, and outlasting opponents through strategic spending and block-building. The single-player mode pits you against AI-controlled rivals who react to your moves with predictable but functional logic. This 1997 release stands out as one of the earliest attempts to bring Monopoly to consoles. While it shares the same name and basic rules as the 1995 PC version, the PlayStation port adds updated visuals and control schemes tailored for handheld play. With just one vote for atmospheric vibes, it leans more on nostalgia than innovation. Fans of the board game might notice small tweaks to pacing and interface, but the core grind of monopolizing properties remains intact.
