Monsters, Inc. Scream Team lets you control Sully or Mike as they navigate a training facility designed to prepare monsters for scaring real children. Instead of humans, you chase robotic kids through 3D levels, using jumps, slides, and boosts to generate scream energy. The goal is simple: scare as many targets as possible while avoiding obstacles and collecting hidden items. Each level has distinct layouts with destructible objects and shortcuts, encouraging multiple playthroughs to maximize your score. Power-ups like speed boosts and temporary invincibility add variety to the platforming challenges. The game captures the movie’s aesthetic with colorful, detailed environments that mirror the film’s world. While the single-player campaign is straightforward, fans appreciate the inclusion of character-specific abilities and the nostalgic value of its 2001 release. It’s a light-hearted, family-friendly experience with a focus on fast-paced action and playful humor. The PlayStation 2 and PC versions run smoothly, though the lack of online features or later updates keeps it niche. Still, it remains a solid choice for those looking for a quick, cartoonish platformer.
Free-minded monsters Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are training at a private training facility owned by Henry J. Waternoose to became top scarers. Only when they are top scarers they can scare real children, otherwise they may hurt themselves because it is believed that children are very toxic to monsters. That is why Mike and Sulley are training in a controlled environment where children are replaced by harmless robots.
