Moon Bugs is a retro arcade shooter where you blast swarms of alien insects trying to hijack radioactive cargo. The goal is to stop bugs from stealing uranium drums at the bottom of the screen before they escape to the top. As levels progress, your task is to protect all drums while a space station on the left loads them toward a satellite dish on the right. Each drum successfully defended gives 200 points, while losses deduct the same amount. The gameplay blends rapid reflexes with strategic timing, as enemies grow faster and more aggressive over time. One standout element is the sudden appearance of a UFO that scrolls across the top, offering either a score boost or a chaotic combat mini round. Hitting the UFO triggers a side challenge where you must pepper a zigzagging alien with bullets for maximum points. The alien’s speed and direction shift after each hit, testing your precision under pressure.
