MoonPong: Tales of Epic Lunacy is a chaotic twist on classic paddle-based action. You control a retro-style paddle, bouncing balls at alien structures to halt the Moon’s drift. Each run features randomized levels, power-ups, and obstacles that mix physics puzzles with frantic reflex challenges. The single-player campaign leans into absurd humor, blending space-age sci-fi with a dash of environmental sarcasm. Controls are tight, and the learning curve balances accessibility with depth, ideal for quick sessions or deep dives into high-score chasing. The game’s standout is its vibrant, trippy art style that leans fully into the “psychedelic” promise. Colorful distortions and retro-futuristic designs keep the visual experience lively even during repeat runs. Though it doesn’t reinvent the genre, its charm and quirky personality have earned it a loyal following. With a Metacritic score of 78 and over 10,000 Steam copies sold in its first month, it’s a cult hit that proves Pong’s legacy still has surprises.
Due to extreme climate catastrophes the Moon has started moving away from the Earth. Fortunately the NASA was expecting this. They quickly launched the "Moon Paddle" program, with hopes of controlling the Moon's trajectory. The climate is decidedly fucked, but we might yet bring back the Moon.
