Motocross lets you ride a motorcycle in a top-down race against an unending stream of rivals. You steer left and right on a straight course, trying to pass bikes without clipping them. A gas gauge forces regular pit stops or risk stalling. The objective is to surpass a set number of riders before the track ends. The game’s simplicity is its core challenge. Early mistakes in positioning or fuel can doom your run. While not as detailed as later racing titles, its arcade-style urgency holds up. Released in 1984, it remains a brisk test of reflexes on the Atari 2600.
