This title was never released, but it remains a curious piece of gaming history. Data Age developed Mr. Bill's Neighborhood for the Atari 2600 to capitalize on the SNL character's popularity in the early eighties. The concept involved players controlling the claymation villain as he navigated his home and caused mischief around his neighborhood. Nothing was actually playable since the project got cancelled before it could leave the development stage. The main reason people talk about this game today is its rarity status among collectors. Very few prototypes or screenshots exist to show what the final product might have looked like on screen. Some collectors value it simply because it represents a missed opportunity for an official Mr. Bill video game release. While we cannot rate gameplay, the mere existence of this project proves just how high demand was for licensed entertainment on the system back then. It stands as a ghost in the cartridge slot that never was.
