Mr. Driller: Drill Till You Drop is a fast-paced puzzle game where you guide a tiny drill through endless waves of colored blocks. Using your DSi's touch screen you punch through layers avoiding falling hazards while keeping your oxygen supply in check. Each stage throws new patterns at you forcing quick decisions and steady fingers. The single-player campaign has 40 levels packed with increasing difficulty mixing block arrangements and obstacle types. The real hook is balancing your drilling speed with oxygen limits. Miss a beat and you’re buried. The stages ramp up complexity smartly introducing tricky new elements as you progress. It’s a simple loop but the challenge curve keeps you coming back for just one more try. The DSi’s portability makes it easy to dig in during short breaks though be warned it’s easier to lose track of time than you’d expect.
