"Sports Party offers a rather simple experience in what is a game that returns to the market ten years after its original release. There is some simple fun to be had in local multiplayer sessions, thanks to its varied events and character customization options, but the game's rather shallow gameplay and lack of an online multiplayer component means that its potential is very limited."

About

MTV Sports Pure Ride throws you on a bike or into a wakeboard with no hand-holding. You grind rails, launch off ramps, and pull stunts in timed events across generic outdoor stages. Controls feel loose but responsive, letting you chain tricks with button mashes. The single player mode strings together quick competitions while the multiplayer lets you jockey for position in local head-to-heads. The game leans into late 90s extreme sports hype with a playlist of rock tracks and graffiti-covered visuals. While the track design lacks depth, the arcade-style scoring and simple physics made it a popular party game in the early 2000s. A small but vocal group of retro sports game fans still points to its straightforward fun.
