The Takeuchi family have been the ones at charge of preserving the mysterious house, Mukogawa, for decades. The eldest son of each generation is chosen to take care of the house. But due to an accident, Takato Takeuchi is unable to fulfill his duty, so Chiyo, Takato's younger sister, must take charge of the Mukogawa House.
