Murder Hornets is a frenetic indie shooter where you defend against endless waves of giant stinging insects. You control a lone survivor armed with increasingly absurd weapons from shotguns to improvised explosives. The gameplay loops around simple mechanics, dodge shoot repeat, but the relentless enemy AI and escalating boss battles keep each session unpredictable. Quick reflexes and resource management are key as you scavenge for ammo and health in claustrophobic environments. The game’s retro pixel art style and synth-heavy soundtrack give it an 80s B-movie feel that complements the over-the-top action. While the difficulty spikes sharply in later levels some players compare it to a chaotic love letter to classic arcade survival games. Released just before Halloween its theme of insectoid terror fits perfectly with the spooky season.
