Mushroom Wars 2 is a real time strategy sequel that keeps the frantic base building and unit micromanagement of the original but adds more depth. Choose from multiple mushroom-themed factions each with distinct playstyles. Upgrade heroes with custom skins and lead them through revamped single player missions or clash with others in competitive multiplayer. The game adds new units and abilities without complicating the core mechanics that made the first game addictive. The most noticeable change is the visual polish giving the world a brighter more detailed look while keeping its whimsical charm. Multiplayer remains the highlight with cross platform support letting players team up or compete across PC consoles and mobile devices. Despite a 2016 release it still holds a steady player base for co op and ranked matches.
